We collect the information needed to provide and protect the service:

• Account information, such as your email address.
• Your linked Pinnacle username and Flow address, so one Mint Basis account can be associated with one Pinnacle account.
• Authentication data, including necessary session cookies or tokens used to keep you signed in.
• Compliance acknowledgements, such as confirmations that you reviewed Mint Basis disclaimers before using the service or downloading tax files.
• Support messages or other information you choose to send to us.
• Basic technical information generated by hosting and security systems, such as request logs, IP address, timestamps, browser details, and error logs.

Mint Basis also uses public blockchain data and published reference data to prepare your workspace. Blockchain activity is public and may be available from sources outside Mint Basis.

Browser-Local Workspace Data

Mint Basis is designed so your tax workspace data is stored primarily in your browser. This may include prepared transaction history, review edits, generated report state, and imported workspace files. This data can be deleted by clearing your browser data or by using product controls where available.

If you upload a Mint Basis workspace file or otherwise send us workspace contents, we may receive that information so we can provide the requested service or support.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create, authenticate, and protect Mint Basis accounts.
• Link a Mint Basis account to a Pinnacle username and Flow address.
• Prepare and sync browser-local workspaces from published source data.
• Record required acknowledgements and enforce download gates.
• Respond to support requests and troubleshoot service issues.
• Prevent abuse, rate-limit requests, and protect the service.
• Improve reliability, security, and user experience.

Cookies And Local Storage

Mint Basis uses necessary authentication cookies so signed-in users can access their accounts. We also use browser storage, including IndexedDB and session storage, to store workspace data and local interface state.

We do not currently use advertising cookies. If we add analytics or non-essential tracking later, we will update this policy and provide any required notice or choices.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Mint Basis, such as hosting, database, email delivery, and support email services. These providers process information for us so the service can work.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Retention

We keep account, linked-account, acknowledgement, support, and operational records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Browser-local workspace data remains on your device until you delete it, replace it, or clear browser storage.

Your Choices

You may contact us to request help with accessing, correcting, deleting, or disconnecting account information. Some information may need to be retained where required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate operational needs.

You can control cookies and local browser storage through your browser settings, but disabling or deleting necessary cookies or local storage may prevent Mint Basis from working correctly.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Mint Basis is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
